june 2022 - meet the founding team
Five youths actively participated in the KASPEA program and engaged in a civic engagement project ideation. They were then assigned to a group that developed a simple project centered on labor rights.
july 2022 - beginning of everything
we WON our first grant to implement the project! Labor Plus was then officially an active project, all thanks to this incredible grant. Even though it was a mini grant, it has truly kickstarted everything for us! This just marks the beginning of something amazing!
october 2022 - first milestone
We organized our first ever workshop seminar to high school students in a total of 120 students (grade 11-12) at Cambodia-Japan Friendship High School in Kampot Province
october 2023 - not ready to say goodbye…
We believe in the potential of Labor Plus! We continued to apply to a content creator program called PROSOB CONTENT CAMP by Impact Hub Phnom Penh for us to conceptualize our project into a social media campaign. And SUPRISE!! We got selected to do our campaign online!!!!!
january 2024 - another one thank you!
We started to apply for another civic engagement project competition called “Smartizen” whereby we won another mini grant from The Ambassador Youth Council, and successfully hosted our second seminar at Sokha Phally High School in Kampong Speu Province.
february 2024 - aspiring NGO?
Given our recent success with small grants, we decided to aim high and go for a big grant for a whole year. We applied for the YSEALI Seeds for the Future 2024 grant, and we are thrilled to announce that we got it! Can you believe it? Now we can take all of our previous activities and integrate them into an exciting year-long plan. Get ready for an amazing year ahead!
